The Midtown Community Development Corporation, in partnership with the City of Daytona Beach, launched the Black History Makers series in 2021 to recognize Black leaders--across various fields--by creating and displaying banners along

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard in Daytona Beach.

The MCDC proudly presents these iconic figures and looks for many more years of recognizing the great accomplishments of Black persons in the City of Daytona Beach.
